Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise.
Jeremiah 17:14
When your son is sick or hurt, it’s hard to think about anything else. This prayer asks God for healing and for strength while you wait. Pray it at his bedside, in a waiting room, or from far away.
Lord, my son is not well, and I’m asking You to heal him.
You made his body. You know every cell and every bone, and You know what is wrong even when the doctors are still looking. Please bring healing. Ease his pain and mend what is broken.
Give wisdom to his doctors and nurses. Guide their hands and help them see clearly. Let the right treatment work.
Comfort my son. If he is scared, give him courage. If he is tired of being sick, give him strength for one more day. Let him sleep well tonight and wake up a little better.
And Lord, hold me together. I want to fix this, and I can’t. Help me be calm for him and honest with You. When I’m afraid, remind me that You are here in this room with us.
I put my son in Your hands, Father. You love him even more than I do. Please make him well.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise.
Jeremiah 17:14
The LORD will sustain him on his bed of illness and restore him from his bed of sickness.
Psalm 41:3
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Lord, please heal my son. Ease his pain and give his body strength to recover. Guide the doctors and nurses caring for him. Calm his fears, and calm mine. Let him rest tonight and wake up stronger. I trust him to You, Father, because You love him even more than I do. Amen.
Some illnesses don’t pass in a week. If your son is facing a long treatment, you may run out of words. That’s alright. You can pray the same short prayer every day, or simply say his name to God. Asking friends or your church to pray with you can lighten the load too.
