A wife of noble character, who can find? She is far more precious than rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he lacks nothing of value. She brings him good and not harm all the days of her life.
Proverbs 31:10–12
Many husbands want to pray for their wives but aren’t sure what to say. This prayer offers words for the everyday, for her health, her heart and your life together. Pray it on your own or with her.
Lord, thank You for my wife. She is a gift I don’t deserve, and I don’t tell her that enough.
Be with her today. Give her strength for everything she carries, her work and the people who depend on her. Give her moments of rest in a busy day. Keep her healthy and safe.
Lift any worry that is weighing on her. Where she feels unseen, let her know she is seen by You and by me. Where she is hurting, comfort her.
Help her know how much she is loved. Let her find her worth in You, not in how much she gets done.
Make me the husband she needs. Help me listen without trying to fix everything. Help me notice what she does and say thank you. Let me love her with patience and serve our home with humility.
Bless our marriage, Lord. Keep us close and on the same side, especially when life gets hard.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, bless my wife today. Give her strength for all she carries and rest when she needs it. Keep her healthy and safe. Let her know how deeply she is loved, by You and by me. Make me a husband who listens and notices, and keep us on the same side. Amen.
Praying together can feel awkward at first, especially if you’ve never done it. Start by holding her hand and saying one sentence. Ask her what she’d like you to pray about this week. Over time it can become one of the closest parts of your marriage.
