Psalm 139:13–14
When your daughter is expecting, you find yourself praying for two people at once. This prayer asks God to care for her body and her baby, and to give her peace as the due date comes closer.
Lord, my daughter is going to have a baby, and I am so thankful.
Watch over her body as it carries this child. Give her strength on the tired days and relief on the sick ones. Help her rest, and keep her free from complications.
Watch over the baby growing inside her. You know this little one already, every finger and every heartbeat. Let the baby grow healthy and strong.
Give my daughter peace. Quiet her fears about labor and about being a mother. Let her trust that You are with her. Surround her with good care and with people who love her.
When the day comes, bring her and the baby safely through. Give the doctors and nurses wisdom and steady hands.
Bless her as a new mom, and bless this family as it grows.
And thank You, Lord, for letting me see this. Help me support her the way she needs, not the way I think she needs.

Lord, bless my pregnant daughter and her baby. Keep them both healthy and safe. Give her rest and peace each day. Guide those caring for her. When the time comes, bring her through a safe delivery. Thank You for this new life and for the family it is making. Amen.
Besides praying, ask her what would actually help. Some daughters want advice and some just want a meal dropped off. You might tell her you’re praying and ask if there’s anything specific she’d like you to pray about.
