Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear can come before a test result, a hard conversation or a change you didn’t choose. This prayer asks God for courage, without waiting for the fear to go first.
Lord, I’m afraid.
You know what’s ahead of me, and You know how small I feel in front of it. I don’t have to pretend to be brave with You.
Again and again You have said, do not fear, for I am with you. Let those words be louder than my fear today.
Hold my hand through this. Give me courage for the next step, even if my knees are shaking.
Whatever happens, remind me that it won’t happen without You there.
Calm my heart, steady my mind, and help me lean on Your strength instead of my own.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.
Psalm 56:3
Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
Lord, I’m scared, and You are with me. Hold my hand. Amen.
Many people in the Bible were afraid: Moses, Gideon, Esther, the disciples in the storm. God didn’t wait for them to stop being scared. He told them He would go with them, and they went.
